Rangeela (film)

Rangeela Hindi is a 1995 Bollywood, romantic comedy drama film written, directed and produced by Ram Gopal Varma. The film starred Aamir Khan, Jackie Shroff and Urmila Matondkar in pivotal roles. The film was A. R. Rahmans debut Hindi film with an original score, as the previous ones were dubbed from his Tamil scores. The soundtrack features playback singer Udit Narayan, Asha Bhosle, Hariharan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Suresh Wadkar, Chitra, Swarnalatha, Shweta Shetty, young Aditya Narayan and A. R. Rahman himself.

A streettoughened orphan by the name of Munna Aamir Khan is befriended by some kind folks, whose effervescent daughter Mili Urmila Matondkar soon grows to be his best buddy. Both gravitate toward the Mumbai movie industry. While Mili finds occupation as a movie extra, Munna earns his livelihood selling movie tickets in the black market.Mili has ambitions of becoming an actress. Fortune glances her way, when she dances her way into a movie stars attentions. This actor, Raj Kamal Jackie Shroff, arranges for her to be auditioned for the heroines role in his upcoming movie called Rangeela. Milis shortcomings amount to distractions, but thanks in no small way to Munna and Raj, she lands the role. ........
